The challenge
Næstved municipality needed to modernise and streamline the way they managed procurement. The goal was clear: a digital system that could provide a better overview, improve contract compliance and make things easier for employees. Simplicity was key. The platform had to work for everyone, regardless of digital skills, and without demanding lengthy onboarding or training courses.
We chose Tellis® because the system is extremely user-friendly and easy to roll out to end users. Its functionality lets us optimise procurement without requiring extensive training, which has been a major advantage.
– Sanela Brutulovic, member of Næstved Municipality’s procurement team
The solution
The municipality opted for Tellis®, Intellis’ e-procurement system, as the backbone of their updated purchasing setup. It stood out thanks to its usability, flexibility and ability to support the complexity of public sector procurement without compromising on day-to-day ease of use. Tellis® helped the municipality implement smoother workflows, better coordination between departments and greater value from existing supplier agreements. Rollout was carefully planned to avoid disruption to daily operations, crucial in a busy organisation with many touchpoints.

The result
Since the implementation, Næstved has seen clear improvements in how procurement is handled. Processes have been simplified, and end users can now easily search for, order and track goods and services directly in the system, all without formal training or external courses. That has freed up time for core tasks and reduced the risk of mistakes in both orders and compliance.
Tellis® has also given the municipality a much better overview across departments and suppliers. Compliance is stronger, follow-up is easier, and the whole process is more transparent. The rollout was smooth and fast, thanks to the system’s intuitive interface and a structured onboarding process.
Næstved’s journey with Tellis® is a great example of how a digital procurement system can create real change, not just for the procurement team, but across the entire organisation.
