The Challenge
Aarhus Vand is one of Denmark’s leading utility companies in water supply and wastewater management. With a clear ambition to streamline procurement, support sustainability and ensure full transparency, the company was looking for a digital solution that could handle complexity while aligning with their green goals.
Before implementing Tellis®, Aarhus Vand faced several challenges: fragmented contract management, poor integration of sustainability criteria and inefficient manual workflows that created bottlenecks and unnecessary admin.
In 2022, we conducted a market review for procurement and contract management systems. The choice landed on Intellis. Alongside a functioning and appealing e-procurement solution, the contract management support was a key factor.

The Solution
Intellis tailored the Tellis® platform to Aarhus Vand’s needs, delivering a single, clear system. The contract management module gave instant access to all supplier agreements, making it easier to monitor, renew and stay compliant.
With the integrated sustainability module, environmental considerations were made visible throughout the procurement process. Buyers were nudged towards greener choices, and suppliers’ sustainability profiles were clearly displayed within the platform.
Tellis® also included robust catalogue management, ensuring only up to date and approved products were available, significantly reducing the risk of off-contract purchases. The PunchOut feature enabled smooth integration with suppliers’ webshops, allowing purchases to be made in familiar environments, while syncing everything directly back into the platform.
